Convenient spot for a 3-5 day layover, with hot showers, a gorgeous riverfront location, and less than a mile to Rogue River city proper. On my last stay, the $50 per night fee seemed a bit steep in price given the condition of the bathrooms in particular, along with the lack a sewer hookup in some of their RV spots (ala, the “shortermers” spot I got, #4). Note the “less than acceptable” bathroom conditions I mention admittedly happened in the middle of a two-week long, continuous rain storm. They do have monthly rates available in the $800 p/m duting winter months) but many spots are already taken for the winter. I suggest staying there short-term first, then deciding whether long-term is right for you. Finally, if you’re looking for a lofty library and community center, or a more “country club” vibe, this ain’t it. Think more “aging Southern Oregon Hippy” with a lingering perchance for weed and motorcycle. Which means I fit right in.
We had the most amazing time here in the Rogue River Community, and it was our "Luck" to land at the CHINOOK WINDS RV PARK... It is a quaint, family oriented, quiet park....The people we met were very friendly, it is a Clean, delightful family owned and operated- I highly recommend this RV park to anyone who sometimes feels overwhelmed, or lost in the shuffle. They have clean showering , and laundry facilities. A pet friendly attitude, and dog run, and it sits on the waters edge just magical !!! I have some pics I took just before my dog ODIE and I left....but--I'm definitely going to return on my way back home...!!
My husband and I stayed here from January 2020-April 2020. The park manager is a very sweet and kindhearted man. He threw a Super Bowl party for the whole park and provided food and drinks for everyone! What a great way to bring our little community together! Clean bathrooms (the men's is really nice) cheap laundry on site, but no quarter machine, little dog area, and direct river access. We could literally look out the windows and see the river - beautiful! We were here when the park was completely full and the noise level was moderate but not unbearable. The WiFi isn't the best, but that's pretty typical of RV parks. The sites are pretty cheap for FHU's and direct river access. We did switch spots when another space became available for cheaper rent. When the weather got warmer, I would take my camping chair to the lowest river platform and read. So relaxing! Joe, the camp host does a great job at maintaining the park and always has a smile to share. If you stay for more than a couple days, you're bound to meet local resident, Jack who's the neighborhood sweetheart. He's always out and about soaking in the fresh air and open to any length of conversation. This man has some stories! We have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Chinook Winds and will miss our neighbors. Thanks for the memories. ❤️
Very nice quiet Park. No rif-raft people here. Immaculately clean River Front access, it's small & that's ok. They have their own private laundry & shower room, a dump station pets & children welcomed. The host/mgr. is a real nice gentlemen. Fills up fast.
we drove up from Ca. to locate a spot for a month this summer. We thought it looked nice and paid a deposit for 1 month. On our way home to Ca. we got a call from the manager saying the price she gave us was not enough money and that we needed to pay more. this woman I think has Alzheimer s disease or just plain dingy. So inefficient. I tried to call the owners to report the woman's inability to manage but was told the place was no longer with the company that I had the phone # for. Obviously I ask for our deposit back and got out of the deal. I would never try to stay at this place again.because of the manager who is a ding bat.
