Pretty good camping, only downside is they had a water problem during our stay and it lasted 3 days.
Campsite near the beginning of the America Discovery trail. Expensive @ $32 with no wifi or common room that you could charge appliances. Shower/toilet facilities and good walks into the State park. Can see deer roaming at sunset
Amazing Camp ground, rented a cabin with my wife and fell in love with the place, will definitely be back next year.
The site that we reserved was T4 and the map doesn’t reflect the actual place of the site (map is incorrect). We arrived on April 5, 2024 after business hours and it was already dark, so we did our best to figure out the site, even though we ended up placing the tent on the trail by mistake. We only realized that until in the morning. After looking around, T4 has little space and our tent could barely fit there. We had reserved two days that weekend and there weren’t that many people around. So, we talked to the front desk to see if we could transfer to another site for our second night and even though the front desk lady tried, the system didn’t let her. After this uncomfortable situation, we almost decided to leave but rather we had no other option then to reserve another site for another night which was an extra $70, so we could still enjoy our last day of spring break. The other site was T18 and it was amazing. We had a good time and plenty of space. But too bad I had to waste money that I can’t afford. The description of the sites should be more clear, including specific measurements. I’m sure this type of misunderstanding has happened in the past for T4. Additionally, the policies should be more accommodating for situations like this one. We didn’t intend to transfer but given the little space we had for our tent, we just didn’t have an option. I run a similar business of own too, and yes, customers do take advantage of things such as transfers between sites, but I still try to accommodate for my clients given their circumstances. Please, fix your maps and give more info about the size of the space, especially for the T sites. Everyone would greatly appreciate it. As for the policy about transfers, you should be more accommodating, especially with reservations for smaller sites. Thank you.
Nice campsites with a watchtower nearby and a bike trail to the pond
