Great setting and good variety of campsites for tents and small RVs/Trailers alike. I was a bit shell-shocked at the $30 per night fee for very little services and an unmaintained road leading up. Similar campgrounds among Nor Cal National Forests are typically $5 per night and they actually include garbage... Good offroading and trail access from campground We had a great time and would come back
I never knew this site and so hapoy to disvover. Self pay camp site $20 oer night for 2 car 8ppl max. bathroom faciluty and table and firering in each site (need to bring own woods). many cozy sites with shade, beautiful view and open sky. road was a bit damaged but my little yaris made it up. no water source.
Great times and such a beautiful campground for families. Safe and clean! P.S. Book in advance!
Great campground that's easily accessible and only about 2hrs from LA. Road leading up to campground is 1 lane and roughly paved, small cars may have a difficult time getting through with all the dips/potholes. Site size varies and self service registration for 1st come 1st serve is available and right at the gates. Beautiful scenic views and trails. No running water, vaupt toilets and no trash bins. Make sure you're prepared for such and pack out all trash when you leave.
We came in mid May, when all the sites were first-come first-served, and only two other sites were occupied. It was totally silent! Frazier Park is about 15-20 minutes away, so if you want some low effort camping this is about as convenient as it gets. The road up from the ranger station is a little rough, be careful not to get a flat tire. Site 23 is nice and flat for tent campers.
