Chuck City

Thanks so much for hosting us in Chuck City / New Orleans! We had a great time. We did a low-profile car camping trip during a long weekend. There was an outdoor shower / toilet area. It’s a 5 minute drive to lots of cool places in the surrounding neighborhood and a 10-15 minute drive to the major tourist places. We would stay here again.

We stay in Chuck City 3 nights in tent, he had outdoor shower, for us was wonderful to take hot shower seeing the sky and trees, is closer to interesting spots and is close the center of new orleans, we definitely stay here the next time that we visit New Orleans, Thanks Chuck!!😉

I stay at Chuck City in my camper, and it is the perfect spot in New Orleans. Gated and filled with wonderful people! My rig is smaller (20'x8'x10') so we just squeeze through the gate. Probably best for car and van campers not big rigs. No sewer on sight. I go to the KOA in Kenner and pay$10 to dump.

Had a great stay at Chuck’s. The neighborhood kids obviously think highly of him which I consider a great sign. The spot’s quite enough for a city and the neighbors keep an eye out for each other. Outdoor bath and shower is about as nice as I’ve seen camping anywhere else, there’s even HOT water. Only a few minutes from Bywater and Marigny and a few more from the French Quarter. Would absolutely stay again! Thanks Chuck!!

Very shady. Lots of crime. No cameras despite the signs. Neighborhood wandering in a n d out all night. Slaughters hogs on the property. This is just weird. Aside from chucks response being lies that can be disproven, im glad to be away from there and to recover most of the thinhs that were stolen there. Things are not as they seem! Whatever you say Chuck. Its your game and reputation. Everyone knows what I stand for. Rich or poor!

Chuck let us park our van and use his facilities during a recent visit to New Orleans after our housing plans fell thru. He and his friend were both friendly and hospitable, gave us lots of tips on things to see, and invited us to play four square. It stands out that he is obviously important to the neighborhood kids.

I loved staying at Chuck City. Chuck is an awesome host and staying at Chuck city felt like staying home. Other people in the neighborhood also were very friendly.
