Somethings I want to share about the campground. We do a lot of camping and try a few new places each year. Chute Pond “gets the job done”. Unfortunately we won’t place this on our list of “must come back” campgrounds. Sites are extremely uneven. Sites are stacked on top of each other. They squeezed 72 sites into a 40 site campground. You can see exactly what you’re neighbors are having for dinner if you know what I mean. . There are 4 showers that are quarter operated and the showers are cold. The beach is overcrowded and small and not dog friendly. There are public streets that run through the campground with moderate traffic so the peaceful aspect is non existent. There are simply much better campgrounds with many near by such as Boulder Lake. The only positive is that it’s a reasonably priced campground with electric.

Pretty disappointing campground. The so-called beach is about 12’ feet of hard pack sand covered in acorns and goose poop. The boats do not adhere to the no-wake order by the swimming area, so younger swimmers get swamped with the waves. The camp store has no hours posted and is closed more than open - so don’t count on getting wood or ice. The campsites are very close together. You are literally sandwiched between each other. The pit toilets are horrendous and not cleaned or maintained and reeked more than any pit toilets I’ve ever seen. 1 out of 10 do not recommend.
