Really nice campsite with plenty of raised platforms for pitching your tent. It has a bear cache and I recommend bringing hand sanitizer for the washroom as there isn't any. Lake is nice to swim in if you can handle somewhat cold water. Also while you cannot feed the whiskey jacks if you put out your hand they will land and it is pretty sweet. The ranger is also around quite often and are super friendly and helpful.

The out house is pretty neat and shockingly clean. You do your business on to this conveyer belt, then there is handle that you pump with your foot that turns the conveyer belt and removes of the waste. Never seen that design before and it made our camping way more comfortable. Not to stinky. All parks should adopt this technology! Unfortunately we were stuck in our tent for most of the stay due to non stop rain and wind, but it is very beautiful and the hike in and out was stunning. We were there the end of September and the meadows were filled (and I mean brimming over) with ripe blueberries. Literally blueberries as far as they eye can see. The trials are a mix between very civilized (eg boardwalks) and areas were you wonder if you actually in a riverbed or on a path. 10/10 will come back in a less rainy time of year

I love this camping spot. It's roughly a 4 hour hike to get there, they have tenting platforms, outhouse, clean lake water, beautiful surroundings, close to Mt Albert Edward. In the winter you'll have to dig snow off the platforms, it's absolutely amazing and its a magical spot for me. In the summer yught want to get there early to get a spot as they can fill up, they do have an overflow area. Of course there are no open fires as this is way back into the country and is in a national park. Please pack out what you bring in, keep the place as pristine as you find it or better!

Perfect distance for the keen hiker from the parking lot, and a great base camp for a first summit of Albert Edward. We approached on the hikers right of Helen McKenzie and returned via Kwai. Great fun! Campsite has many platforms, bear caches, grey water sinks and composting toilets. Plush for the back country!

Nice lake with 20 platforms for tents - although some are not in good repair. Some great spots right at the lake edge. Bear cache, outhouse, and grey water drainage there. Great jumping off point for Albert Edward summit and Castle Crag loop. Lake is chilly to swim in but some still manage. Able to fish too.
