This camping experience was one of the best we have had. This campground was beautiful. Lots of fun exploring from the streams to fish to the forest for beautiful photography. The manager of the campground was amazing and knowledgeable to the surroundings and local activities. He is definitely an asset to this campground. This will be our getaway for camping and will definitely be back soon.We are so glad to have found this beautiful place to have lots of fun and enjoy the outdoors.
Stopped for sledding and they charge for each person who enters the park, not for number of people sledding. The car vs per person fee wasn’t clear and it felt like they were working us for more money. They charged us $30 for two adults and a 2 year old. If we had planned better we wouldn’t have stopped here.
I have had great past experience with this campground and historically would have rated them a 4-5 stars because although the site is rundown, they have bathrooms near, electricity and water at each site and a good price. Unfortunately the last trip they put us next to the sewage transfer station that sounded about as pleasant as it was while trying to sleep. Gotta love trying to go to sleep and not trying to vomit at the same time. And when heading to the office to get information in the middle of the day, the sign showed open but the doors were locked up tight. Not sure what is going on with management and choices of this place lately.
I am currently living and working here and am enjoying it very much! The sites are well marked, easy to access, and there are plenty of them. There is easy access to a 4x4 trail right from the campground and beautiful hikes less then 10 miles away. As well as swings and slides everywhere there are tons of open feilds for younger kids to play in!
Great place for family time together camping and just being in the outdoors. Has hot showers and clean restrooms and even a laundry area, even though half the dryers/washers do not work because they are so old/ancient, I was glad they had something because my kids get dirty and wet so fast. We brought our bikes and rode around the campgrounds and there was plenty of space and playground areas for the kids to keep busy. The playgrounds were ancient as well, It was half snow and dry areas when we stayed for two nights. The only thing besides the ancient playground equipment/ washer machines was the loud traffic noise coming from the freeway area. I still would go back because it is a nice place for familes to camp so I am recommending it to anyone wanting to just take their family camping for fun/Not roughing it.
