I was looking around for a place and being the weekend after the 4th of July, I knew there wouldn't be many options. This place is literally a hidden gem and should get more focus!!! The owner had a spot for my family and me!!! When he found out that I was only tent camping, he even lowered the price!!! He didn't have to do that at all and it wasn't expected. Grassy locations everywhere. Wonderful water and electric hookups!!! A little piece of heaven here. JJ is an AMAZING host!!!
What a wonderful place! You should absolutely camp here if you're passing through on a road trip and are looking for hiking options nearby. Hosts are very kind people.
If your are looking to camp in NE Iowa, look no further! Absolutely beautiful campground and the moat friendly and hospitable owners and campers you will ever meet. Water and electric sites with a well kept shower house and dumping station.
Kate is just the sweetest and she made sure to guide us to our campsite! Great place to stay! The people are very friendly!
This place is great! First, the owners. So friendly and accommodating. We were booked for a month and JJ came to empty or tanks for us when it was needed. The full time seasonal campers are so friendly. Had so many stop and talk to us. We had a perfect site that was large enough for us to spread out. Yes, the highway is right by us, but it didn't bother us. The shower house was close to us and we could use that as we needed to. There is a nice playground for the kiddos. We would come back here time and time again. The campground is centrally located in Clayton County, near Pikes Peak. Effigy Mounds, McGregor and Guttenberg. A lot of activities to engage in. Great trout fishing streams near by.
