This is a great state park! We have an RV and we stayed in Campground D, site 35. It has water and electric hookup (none of the campground sites have sewer hookup). Campground A & B appear to be primitive tent sites. Campground C is for RVs, but no hookups at all. Both C & D have dump stations though. The bathrooms are modern and very clean! Both men and women's bathrooms have toilets and sinks. There are family showers that have sink, toilet, shower, and changing tables. Then there are showers that are private with just a shower and a bench. There are multiple hiking/biking trails throughout the park. Some are paved, but most are dirt trails. There is a public beach (fee based), boat ramp, Kayak launch, multiple playgrounds, gift shop, picnic shelters, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, & 6-bedroom cabins, motorboat and Kayak rentals. The lake is beautiful and so worth coming here.
Great place to camp! Camped here last year and decided to return this year. Rented a yurt this time. Totally worth it! Very roomy inside the yurt. Wonderful views, watched deer walk in the woods and towards our deck as we ate supper. It rained pretty heavily and the yurt did not leak, the sound of the rain drops hitting the canvas lulled me to sleep. The wood deck does get very slippery after rain or dew. The restrooms were a little bit of a walk away from the yurts and the closest dumpster was a little bit up the road, on the way out of the campground.
We very much enjoyed this campground. We chose a site with water and electricity. We were only staying one night before moving on to our next stop. We had a chance to walk around. Beautifully landscaped around various areas, huge lake, marina. They rent kayaks and such. A large beach with a life guard. Many amenities. Our site was in campground D site 6. Very large site with stone fill. Wooded on two sides. Even though there were other campsites around us it was very quiet. The staff and rangers were very helpful and extremely pleasant to talk with. I highly recommend this state park campground.
We stopped here for the night on our way south. Such a nice, clean and spacious campground! Sites are big and well spaced apart. Bathhouse was new and super clean! Nice walking trails and access to the lake. We were very impressed and will return!
The camping spots were really nice, and they had fireflies come out at dusk! The showers and bathrooms worked well and were clean. I liked how they had someone to check us in late. My only real compliment is that there were a lot of other guests being very loud late into the night which is very disrespectful to other campers.
