Beautiful quiet campground with accessible bathrooms. We did a cold plunge and enjoyed fires every day :) only rated location 4 stars because it’s next to the highway which can be loud sometimes.
Beautiful green location right on the river...site #13 is set far away from any neighbors and has nice little trail to the water. Oz the camp host is awesome!.. super pleasant dude keeping the camp immaculate..including the bathrooms.. pretty impressive. We had a great time! nothing but positive things to say... we will definitely be back! 🐈⬛ 🐦
Been camping up here for 40 years always enjoy the hikes Clear Creek Canyon the giant log makes it easy to hike to the other side of the canyon but now the high floodwaters have taken the giant log away there’s still the nice hike To Froglegs through the forest or at the logging road. Darrington is 3 miles away for food. The trees here are several hundred feet tall and big around as your car it’s a primitive campground with only about 12 sides there’s a nice campground host that sells wood.
Great little campground! Close enough to Darrington to replenish provision too. The spots are a bit close together, we stayed in 6 and enjoyed it, so if you have dogs or kids you can expect to see the occasional rascal visit your spot. The distance from the highway is close, but not noisy as it isn't that busy.
Spent last Sunday July 3rd night here at site 13. Quiet, lots of shade, no river view but an easy walk to the water. No road traffic at night. Good access to local trails. Will definitely stay here again.
