Clear Fork is full hookups and mixed back in vs pull through. The reservoir is going down as they are releasing water for the farmers irrigation now. You can still launch and run boats, but not much longer. Staff and rangers are all knowledgeable and friendly. This campground just underwent a complete renovation and is in pristine condition.
The campsites are well maintained and have water and electricity hook up and beautiful views all around.
Great campground, good views and clean facilities. About 30 minutes drive to the north side of black canyon.
Very nice updated campground with spacious pull-in spots. Black water drains at each site. However, there is not much to do. A close walking trail is short and not very scenic. The reservoir levels are very low. The campground is a close drive to the north rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Otherwise there's not much in the area.
Just renovated with full hookups for RV's. Beautiful campground right on the lake! I definitely recommend this site if you can get it rather than the Iron Creek Campground. Iron Creek is older with gravel sites but it is not terrible. Just a note if you are coming up from Route 50 on Highway 92 that route is extremely curvy for many miles right on the edge of a steep canyon. If you have a large RV I would recommend a route through Montrose and Delta or from I-70 to Crawford. It is a long detour but worth it. Route 50 is under heavy construction outside of Montrose and you may have to wait.
