Excellent camping and the owner is so kind and genuine. Beautiful tent camping sites. They have shower house and bathrooms too! We tent camped and it was great! Picnic table, fire ring, some flat spots for a tent, private tent sites, outhouse for tents and quiet!
Nice campground. We didn't stay but it served as our Basecamp and parking location for a canoe trip. We got to use the showers after our trip, which was refreshing and needed.....IYKYK.
Great food, great service, great time. Cliff Wold's did an excellent job helping us through nearly every step of the trip. We recieved a detailed overview of our equipment and all of our questions were answered when we arrived. We were given quality, tailored suggestions and we even received maps in which the best campsites and fishing spots were hand marked. Sure enough when we got out they were right there with 1st class service to help us on our way. Cliff Wold's made our trip a success and I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to make their trip equally memorable.
You must definitely outfit with Cliff Wold. Come a day or two before going into the BWCA and stay a day after. Ryan will work with you to ensure your boundary water experience is hassle free from the day you arrive in Ely until the day you depart Ely. The campground is well maintained and the bathroom and shower facilities immaculate. The outhouses near the campsites are spotless.
This was an amazing place!!! We stayed 3 nights and it was perfect! If you want a place to stay and have privacy, (at the tent site) this is the place!! We even had our own porta-potty (and it was clean, and not stinky) right at our campsite! Fantastic weekend! Owner was easy to talk to and super nice guy!!!! We even rented our canoes from his Cliff Wold canoe store!
