Customer Reviews
Have camped here while traveling between CO and PA several times over the past 3 1/2 yrs. Will always stay here. The grounds and bathroom are neat, clean and beautiful. See deer almost every visit. Only ever stay the night but it is quiet and peaceful.
I found Cloverdale RV Park to be a very nice, relaxing, quiet place to stay. I was only there one night, but the trees and grassy areas of the park were beautiful and well manicured. There were even deer to watch in the early morning. All hookups were in good shape and worked as expected. The park is quiet and easily accessible from the interstate. When I arrived in the afternoon the office was locked, but the sign on the door posted a phone number which when I called was answered quickly. The owner/manager came out and escorted me to my spot which is always nice when you have a 38' trailer! I will stay here again when in the area.
Owner was extremely rude and upon greeting us said, "hello brother". We are not "brothers". Showers smelled like hard metal and was orange colored. Signs on the property said there are cameras you can see and cameras you can't, kind of makes you worry. The owner also wanted us to pay for visitors that were only there for a minute. He will constantly patrol the area and give strange looks. Wouldn't recommend staying here if you like having a good time. This place used to be a nice stop, however, now it seems it is being ruled with an iron fist. Would rather stay in the Walmart parking lot.
Called and setup reservation for today. She asked me if I wanted just electric or full hookup. I indicated I need full hookup. She told me it would be $48 on card or $43 cash. At the time I called I was 7 hrs from their location. Once I arrived I walked up to office and an older man approached me and said I noticed you are from Indianapolis and we are Indiana. I said yes I know we live close, but we can’t park our rv overnight in our neighborhood so we plan to empty our tanks and get organized to unload tomorrow. He then asked me if I used approved rv toilet paper in my black tank or regular. I said rv toilet paper. He then said that was a trick question because he was really checking to see if we put our toilet paper into our black tank. He proceeded to tell me toilet paper was not suppose to go in the black tank, but into a separate container. He then told me I could dump my black tank at most truck stops. I was ready to explode by that time. I told him I didn’t drive 7 hrs expecting to get hooked up for the evening to hear that. I said if I can’t use the sewage to get rid of my black water then I don’t have a reason to be here. Then I left that park never to return.
Owner was very rude and pounced on us as soon as we pulled in the drive, asking numerous questions that were none of his business and going over their laundry list of rules to follow. The RV Park was nearly empty and the owner called me on the day of our departure at 10:55 to let me know if we were not checked out by 11:00 am, we would be charged $5.00 per hour until we checked out!!!! Horrible and creepy experience….will never stay there again!
It is clear that this park is being restored, so we were not too disappointed. It still needs serious tlc to be at typical KOA standards. Give them a chance while they make the improvements as I'm sure they will appreciate the business.
Stopped by this KOA to rest from our travels. Learned that this KOA was built in 1970 and has been out of the system for many years. NEW OWNERS bought it this spring. They are bringing this gem back to a level of service and qualities you expect to find at a KOA with numerous projects and improvements. Can’t wait to stop back again to see the progress. Cheering them on in their entrepreneurial adventure!
We came here for a wedding the place is nice and clean the laundry was nice the only thing the store wasn't open much otherwise great
