This campground is primarily known for its easy access from I75 and full connection amenities, but it also has some notable drawbacks.
Based on customer reviews, Coal Creek Campground is well-suited for travelers needing a quick overnight stop. The campground offers full connections and easy in and easy out access from I75, making it highly convenient for those on the road. The pull-through sites are a plus, but they are noted to be very close together. A significant drawback is the presence of train tracks running the length of the campground. Full connections. Easy in and easy out from I75. Pull through sites that are very close. There are train tracks that run the whole length of the campground. A train went by at around midnight, then again at 4:30 am. Blowing it's whistle as it passed by the road running out of the back of the campground. Good for the overnight stay. But I wouldn't camp here for leisure.
Nice little campground. Not much for amenities but a quiet place to stay. The owners are absolutely wonderful and super friendly and helpful. They can also move you camper for you if needed.
This is a Great place to stay if you are traveling on I-75 through Tennessee. Nice, clean, level lots with full hookups! Bathrooms are clean, and well kept. The owner, Dennis is very helpful and friendly Host. Thank you Coal Creek Campground! We'll definitely be back to stay.
This is a really quiet campground for a really good price. We were able to park our rig without unhooking from our truck (about 55 feet in total). We were able to book a site same day directly with the owners of the campground. There were bathrooms/a shower house on site, but we did not use them. The site seemed pretty level, and we had 50amp service plus water and sewer hookups.
This Camp Ground is a work in progress. With that being said, it was easy to get to, very peaceful and ideal for a good night's rest. We called for rates and availability and were welcomed and given the information needed by a very courteous and polite gentleman. We only stayed one night, but we were very pleased. Very simple and no fuss campground with easy roads in and out.
