This is not a forest service campground and it is not developed in any way or intended for use as a campground. As of spring 2024 is simply a dispersed camping site used by random folks. There is a pullout along the paved road where you can park and an old track leading down to the river where you could pitch a small tent out on the sand/gravel bar during low water. This spot is more appropriate for day use exploring along the river than for camping.
Our great government will not spend any money on road maintenance or upkeep of any kind. Soon all roads will become impassable and when wild fires occur there will be no way to reach them. There is a big whole in the road at end of bridge so it will soon wash away as well. What a shame to see such waste of what used to be a beautiful road into the wilderness.
This shouldn't be called a campground, although, you could camp there. It's just a pretty spot on the river. There is a little bit of a sandy area. It is somewhat more attractive now that they've replaced the big culverts that were there with a bridge. Also much more fish friendly.
