Coastal Woods Campground

We stayed here in July, great tent sites, they were pretty private and wooded. Close to the highway for convenience but not loud. You do have to pay for the showers, which I didn’t realize but they were cheap. Staff were friendly in helpful and it was dog friendly!

I have been coming to this campground for over years. I loved the simplicity of the sites. I love the trees and the campers are not arranged like cordwood. Eric and Shawn have made some wonderful and needed changes/upgrades. This is a little gem and so close to the beach! Highly recommend ❤️

We loved this campground. It is really conveniently located by the I-95 and close to Wells and all that has to offer. The grounds are tidy and clean, and as most of the plots are used by seasonal campers, there aren’t too many folk around to disturb your peace. The bath house is clean, too.

This is a tad behind, we stayed here back in May 2024, however wanted to add this: Coastal Woods is an affordable, perfectly located campground near the heart of Wells. Right off 95 you have easy access to this well laid out campground that offers secure access, clean centrally located restrooms, fun and safe playground, a small field for additional play, and a clean/well stocked camp store. The owners are active and friendly, providing an escape from the everyday. Activities were thoughtful and fun and had a good crowd for local music, wood fired pizza, and a beer tent from a local brew house. A quick drive into Wells, then onto Ogunquit, you have easy access (without staying in the hustle and bustle of Rt 1) to all area attractions. Because of the 95 access, you are able to quickly travel to multiple tourist cities near Wells (including Sanford, Kennebunk, Kennebunk Port, York, Elliot, Portsmouth, Scarbrough, Portland, and South Portland). This campground is well laid out with some oversized lots, allowing for easy maneuverability with larger campers. After staying at 18 different camp sites last year, this campground rates highly on our list and we cannot wait for our next stay!

This place amazing! I loved the staff and how friendly they were! They helped us with our electric problems and gave us a new campsite to make our stay that much better! The craft beer was very good aswell! Definitely will be staying here again when we go back to Maine!

Beautiful camping ! We loved our stay The staff was nice and friendly ! The only "negative" point is that we found our tent spot a bit narrow. We had enough space to put all of our stuff, but there was not much room left for our car (SUV). I think that we parked on the site next to us, but we're not quite sure. We found the indications about our site not very clear. (We have a small 4 persons tent). They give you a magnetic card when you check in, so you can go in and out of the campground even when the reception is close.
