For those of us who regularly explore the vast wilderness of Wyoming, having a "safest and cleanest" home base where "everything mentioned is in tip-top shape" is a significant advantage. We understand the value of well-maintained facilities, especially clean, private showers and reliable laundry, which are often scarce in more remote campgrounds. This level of comfort allows for longer, more enjoyable trips, even after dusty days exploring Yellowstone or the Shoshone National Forest.
The genuinely friendly and attentive staff, like "Damien" who always has "a grin and greeting every morning," and the "very nice and tediously working couple," create a welcoming atmosphere that resonates with Wyoming's spirit of neighborliness. Knowing that the place has "surveillance" adds an extra layer of peace of mind, allowing locals to truly relax and feel secure. The ability to choose between spacious RV sites with full hookups and unique, fun Tipis offers versatility for different family needs and camping styles.
Furthermore, the on-site fishing pond and proximity to the Shoshone River cater directly to our state's love for angling. The safest and cleanest of all the campgrounds I've stayed. The couple are very nice and work tediously. The people were really nice. Those seats outside the coffee hut are perfect for comfort watching the sunset. The place is elevated above the river, makes the views amazing all around the campground. It was very nice meeting damien, he had always a grin and greeting every morning. Plus he has surveillance, makes you feel safe. Everything mentioned is in tip top shape. The 5 private showers are very clean along with the laundry room. This place deserves more stars.
My wife & kids stayed one night in the buffalo teepee while passing through back home to MN. It was very fun, kids had a blast. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer any questions. They had multiple private showers with toilets which was really nice. Again wish I had more time to look around the office and gun shop. Pretty cool you can camp & buy guns in one spot!😎
My family and I spent a month here and we absolutely loved it! It’s slightly out of town, but had a beautiful view of the mountains and farmland right next to it. Damon was an amazing host! We also met Terry halfway through and he was great also. We have a young child, so she was very happy about the playground and swings available. We also loved walking down to the fishing pond and seeing the fish in there. The tipis were cool to see & you could see the river from the fish pond area. There were also some horses next door which we got to see everyday. It was quiet, very clean(to include the bathrooms); could not ask for a better campground to be at. HIGHLY recommend this campground.
The owners and staff are very nice and attentive. Campground is well maintained and has beautiful views. Bathrooms and laundry are clean. They have a great fenced in dog area and my pups say this was the best place to stay.
My family and I from Iceland spend 3 nights here and we loved it. The space were very clean, quiet, and close to the city of Cody. Teddy and his son were very welcoming, nice, and helpful. Would I stay here again? Absolutely, and then some.
