- "We have been coming to Cold Springs for a few years now and it is the perfect place to get away from it all and just unwind. Most of the cabins are on the banks of the Metolius and you can't get a more beautiful view anywhere!! The cabins are well stocked and extremely cozy! This will forever be a place for us to come back to!!"
- "What a lovely, friendly place for you and your family to spend time. We had a wonderful time enjoying the river, playing cards outside on a provided porch table just spending quality time with family. Chris and Nicole are especially nice and very helpful when needed. We wanted for nothing. The Metolius is a beautiful river. We usually camp at Smiling River, but with Mom being 92 we cabin these days. (94 to you Chris). That was hilarious. We would definitely stay again and what an incredible time of year with the colors changing. Thank you for making our vacation wonderful. - Jeni"

We have stayed at CSR for the last two years to have a family reunions. We get a combination of Cabins and RV sites to accommodate all of my family. I have five older siblings and some of them have great grand children so the numbers are increasing year over year. The team running the operation have really stepped up to insure we have a great experience and they have really stepped up their housekeeping game as well as added a large clubhouse for events and large or small gatherings. We will be back next year again, it's awesome.
Booked a stay for a great price for our honeymoon last year. My husband got deployed the day after we got married with no notice. Forgot to cancel the trip because I had to find a house to rent, transfer bank account info, etc. all by myself because my new husband was sent to another country by surprise. Called after I was billed for the stay, was told I would be called back the next day after they asked the owner about the situation. They didnt call after 2 days so I called. After explaining my situation they told me they would call me the following day to get ahold of the owner. They didnt call back so I called them. I asked to speak to the owner and was talked down to and told I would NEVER speak to the owner. They said if I was military I could maybe get a gift certificate. I said I could get military orders to be reimbursed. I had to cry and beg and was told this type of paperwork has never been seen by the staff, insinuating it was fake or I was scamming, and I would be unlikely to get a refund. I cried and pleaded to talk to the owner. The guy was really aggressive and hostile even though I was literally sobbing on the phone. Sent over the necessary paperwork and never heard back, no apology. No phone call or email follow up. Just saw money had been put back in my back account. Appalling treatment for such a terrible situation I was in. I never got a single apology for how rudely I was spoken to or treated even AFTER the company realized I had a complete legal right to get my money back. Radio silence. Even in their customer service language google review response. Nothing. I keep getting promotional emails so it reminded me to leave this review. If youre military and have life changing events happening, forget this place. Will never consider staying here again.
I'd like to preface my review by saying that I grew up coming here. It has a very special place in my heart. The location is amazing and the cabins are absolutely adorable. That said, the last time I visited the staff member I interacted with was absolutely aweful. I sped in, I fully admit I was definitely driving too fast. I was stopped by a staff member who proceeded to endanger himself and me by suddenly jumping in front of my car with his E-Bike. After I stopped and rolled down my window, he immediately began to yell at me and my partner with mostly incoherent threats involving cameras and having my liscence plate now. I agreed several times to drive slower and such while he continued to yell. I finally asked him to stop yelling at me, and he continued to do so, even when I repeated the request two more times. He finally let me go, but followed me back to the cabin and then yelled at my family. I snapped and yelled if he thought it was funny to yell at girls with PTSD and then left the situation and shut down. He ended up kicking us off the property, and yell at me while I huddled, head down shaking and crying. He literally could have just said, hey drive slower and it would have been good, instead he had to be belligerent, aggressive and threatening to me and my family. Not cool.
