Customer Reviews
Clean and easy to find. Plenty of available camp spots. The one my group got was near the river and was very beautiful as the sun was rising. Access was convenient and even though there was a fire restriction we had a great time. 9/10
We camped here for Memorial Weekend 2024 and really enjoyed ourselves. They have a kayak launch here and our site was close enough to roll our kayaks down to the launch. Very easy exit and entry to lake. The campground itself was extremely quiet. We were shocked at how quiet it was especially for a holiday weekend and not all of the spots were filled. We stayed in space #32. It was a large site with plenty of room but it was kind of in the middle of the campground with other sites surrounding it. I think next time if we stayed here we’d pick a corner spot a little closer to the restrooms. My only complaint is we couldn’t manage to find the camp host all weekend. We assumed which spot they were in but there were no markers that we could see and we never saw anyone until the last day someone in a white truck with an OR rec sticker was coming by checking sites. Lake is small but gorgeous and gets really busy if it’s nice and sunny! Overall we would definitely stay here again. ** Also - zero cell phone service anywhere in the campground had to drive 5 miles up the road to handle work emails **
Nice campground, good sized sites, beautiful lake. Nice trails around the lake. They say running water, but this is not really true. The only water spigot I found in the whole campground was an awkward massive pump that is longer than my arm span so there's no way to hold a water bottle up while also pumping. The water pressure fluctuates so you can't really fill well by setting things on the ground either. It really requires 2 people to work it which is very inconvenient. Certainly can't wash your hands without a second person to work the pump. Also, I stayed from Thursday thru Sunday and no one ever refilled the toilet paper in any of the bathrooms so many were out by Sunday. Only the top of the hill bathrooms still had any toilet paper by Sunday.
This campground felt secluded compared to others we have stayed at. Fair distance between campsites. We were in campsite 23 near the vault restroom. No showers on the grounds so keep that in mind! It was very quiet at night, both relaxing and spooky. Preston and Olivia were welcoming hosts.
First time camping there with the Fultz family who have been camping there every year for 60 years ! Great place to camp! Just down the street there's a beautiful waterfall. Even though the place was pretty packed with people it was still a great place to see ! ❤️❤️❤️ the bathrooms wers remodeled recently and so they were better as I was told but it was pretty stinky but that's the camping life to be honest! They cleaned the bathroom twice a day and always had lots of toilet paper.
