The cabin itself was cute and cozy and not far from downtown deadwood. The things that weren't great about it was the bed was super hard and uncomfortable we ended up sleeping on the sleeper sofa because the bed was so uncomfortable. The water had a really strong Irony smell to it and had an orange tint to it so I would suggest bringing your own drinking water .
Great quiet location. Very cute. We booked a 2 bedroom (with loft) to sleep 7. We would book a bigger cabin in the future. The only thing that I did not think about when booking... The water! The water (sinks and shower) has a strong rust/iron smell. The laundry was fine (my clothes did not smell like metal). I would definitely book with them again.
Great stay and value for the money. Used to stay in downtown Deadwood when traveling in this area, not anymore! The cabins are in a great location and have plenty of room and amenities. They recently changed management and the new company seems really great. One thing I do recommend is to bring your own drinking water, the well water at the cabin is not the best tasting. Regardless, we had a great time and you will not be disappointed!
My family and I took a road trip where we spent 3 days in Deadwood, SD and stayed in Cabin 5 during the trip. The cabin was amazing, and located in a beautiful spot with forest views all around. The kids luved the set up, and playing pool or putting puzzles together was the fave pass time. The cabin was spacious for our group of 9. It's stocked with the essential appliances, cookware, movies, games and pool table. It's conveniently located in the middle of everything. The night and morning skies were breathtaking. You have several options whether it be a day of hiking at a park, fishing or sight seeing. The noise from passing traffic was minimal. You won't regret staying at Cole Cabins!
We stayed in Cole Cabin #1 for my bday weekend. (4/18-4/21) W have two dogs and travel with them. It was great to have our own place for them too. The cabin was great! There was plenty of room and had everything we needed. The owners were attentive to our needs. It would have been nice to be able to access Netflix as there was wifi. By the end of our stay, I appreciated not having access to cable or Netflix. I cannot wait to go back. We will be staying there again.
