Collier Memorial State Park Campground, located at 46000 US-97, Chiloquin, OR, offers a camping experience within a unique environment impacted by recent wildfires. While the landscape shows signs of the 2020 wildfire season, the campground itself provides essential amenities and access to beautiful natural features, making it a viable option within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category.

The campground is known for its friendly staff and well-maintained facilities. Visitors appreciate the clean restrooms and hot showers, including handicap accessible options. The campsites are spacious and equipped with fire pits, although they offer limited privacy due to the landscape changes from the wildfires. The confluence of Spring Creek and the Williamson River within the park is described as exquisite, with crystal-clear, albeit cold, water. The park also features a logging museum, which, while not visited by all reviewers, is noted as an interesting attraction.

Burnt!! Just be prepared that this park was nearly destroyed during the 2020 wildfire season and it still looks pretty desolate. Now, with that out of the way, the campground itself was perfectly fine. The campsites have essentially no privacy from one another but I expect that is a side effect of the fires that has not yet recovered. We were within ear shot of pretty much all of our neighbors, but fortunately most everyone kept their voices down as a rule. The bathrooms and showers were well-enough maintained (it's a campground, expect camp showers). Firewood was being sold at a pretty good deal for how much you got, but that could change with time so I won't go into the details. One thing we were not expecting was the dust! Dust everywhere! Again, probably due to the fires, but just be prepared and don't bother wearing sandals or flip-flops or else your feet will get absolutely caked. We were staying for the weekend to go to Crater Lake and so didn't end up visiting the logging museum, but it looked very interesting from the road. Maybe another time. Also, the creek and river that meet in the park are EXQUISITE. I couldn't believe how crystal-clear Spring Creek was! Extremely cold water though, so be warned. Be nice to the Camp "Chicken"!!!

Great place to camp! Friendly staff, hot showers (handcap accessible also), clean restrooms, spacious campsites with fire pits and firewood for sale. $7 for 3 bundles in a little wagon you wheel over to your site. Very neat! Overall, I was very happy with my experience, and I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to go camping!

Very nice hosts and beautiful campground. It's a Ponderosa forest, so there is no undergrowth but big trees above you. Many of the hookup sites are very uneven. Avoid B27 and B20. I ended up in B25 and it was OK. Big, outdoor, well done logging museum nearby (1/2 mile easy walk along the river). Some traffic noise from nearby 97 but not noticeable. I didn't use bath facilities, so can't comment on those.

Great location to Klamath Falls, Crater Lake and Williamson river. Highly recommend swimming in the river and can do a bit of fishing too. All sites are pretty level asphalt, wood picnic table, full hookups. 2 bars of 4G for streaming on Verizon.

This was probably a beautiful campground before the September 2020 forest fire which destroyed the campground as well. There are a lot of chipmunks running around and we were told that they eat hood liners and sometimes have eaten electrical wiring. Many people leave their car/truck hoods propped up so the chipmunks can't sit on your engine/battery and eat the hood liner. The camp hosts are extremely friendly and helpful! The interior roads are somewhat difficult to navigate given trees and rocks that are close to site entrances. I watched several inexperienced trailer drivers struggling to get backed into their sites. The full hookup sites are paved and fairly level. If it weren't for the chipmunks I would give a higher rating but the whole time we were here I worried they were going to eat through our wiring. I tried led rope lights around our motorhome, I sprayed rodent repellent around our motorhome and nothing seemed to work. Some had electronic repellent devices in their engine compartments but not sure that they work either. They need a natural predator for the chipmunk problem.
