This campground and state park is very clean, the employees are very nice and helpful. The community behind the park is very passionate about making this park better and more exciting to visit in the near future. There is lots of wildlife, clean showers and great building to tours.
Great place to camp with built-in things to see.
Hidden gem, foggy but very quite and clean
Haven't been here in a while, the little placards with the QR codes to listen to little snippets about each place are nice and makes the visit interesting, a nice little free couple hours, well maintained 2 security trucks driving around.. 1 street blocked would have liked to have gone to those properties, never found the cemetery could have asked but didn't all in all nice visit
A charming spot to explore both African America history and life a century ago in the San Joaquin Valley. One gets an idea of how tough it was, and how determined early residents were. In addition, there's a nice campground, the only one for miles around, with ramadas, a shower, and within walking distance of the town. If you are into wildlife, the Kern Wildlife Refuge is but a half hour drive away, and expecially spectacular during the winter migration.
