Always amazed by the beauty this country has to offer. Colorado National Monument is quite amazing, and if you are a flatland country boy the drive here is nothing short of white knuckled terror. (for me at least, lol) Spent the day enjoying the views and doing a few easy hikes and ended up in grand junction for dinner. Very glad we headed over to enjoy it.

The Colorado National Monument was nothing short of spectacular. We visited on our way from Arches and Canyonlands to Rocky Mountain National Park. I wasn't sure what to expect but this National Monument did not disappoint. I am so glad we added this stop to our trip itinerary as it offers as stunning of views as you will find in many National Parks. With a wonderful visitor center, scenic drives, hiking opportunities and awesome viewpoints along the way this is a must see if you are traveling through the area.
Omg...cannot say enough of the beauty here in Colorado National Monument. This is well worth the drive and the small fee to enter to keep our National Parks funded. I only encaptured a few pictures to show on my trip today. There is so much more to admire and see for yourselves. Especially if you love mountains and nature. This drive was incredible. I began on the side in the town of Fruta and took the drive all the way across and came out on the Grand Junction side exit. There was so much to see. I .ist agree with comments made about how beautiful this drive is. Plenty of places to stop on your journey to get incredible pictures as your keepsakes. I'm grateful my dear friend mentioned this one to me to adventure into. Thanks Wilbur. 😊 Followed great advice and it paid off in scenic views. Much appreciated of the history of this location. I hope many of you will have an opportunity to come here to Grand Junction and visit Colorado National Monument. Enjoy your trip here to Colorado National Monument. I loved every scenic view.
Such an amazing & beautiful park! This was my first visit and it certainly won’t be my last. The park ranger at the entrance station was so kind & helpful with information regarding the park. The views alone are legendary & the short hike I did (coke ovens trail) was so beautiful. Can’t wait to do more!
