I have snowshoed into the Colton Cabin, with my daughters once during the holidays. It was cold outside and just as cold in the cabin when we first arrived. But within an hour after getting the stove stoked it warmed up to a cozy place. It was a comfortable oasis for the 3 nights that we stayed. Since then, we’ve visited the cabin two additional times, having backpacked in during the early spring before the access road was open and it was just as pleasurable.

Amazing little cabin! Far enough away for solitude, but close enough that service is just a short drive away. Lovely place to stay.
