Comfort Suites San Clemente Beach

Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The jacuzzi tub is a little dated and the side window was sealed shut with paint, which seemed weird, but the water was hot, the shower pressure was excellent, the bed was comfortable. We also used the pool and hot tub outside in the evening and it felt private and safe. Parking seemed safe and was abundant. It's an easy walk to trestles beach for walking, surfing, and bird watching, also a short drive to Camp pendleton!

Visited our out of town friends, picking them up from this motel. Sure glad we got to witness the desk clerk berate a guest for complaining about not having a shower curtain in her room and expecting her to install a new one. Unbelievable. . Not to mention the disgusting overall condition of this so called motel. Needs an overhaul and then staff that understands service and cleaning.

Run down hotel. Pull out couch was broken. Room doors didn't close properly. We needed a separate key for the gym. Breakfast was fine, typical for the brand. Pool and gym didn't really look like the photos. Gym was tiny. Pool and hot tub were very run down, no decent seating. Balconies had folding chairs. I would not stay there again.

Not sure why such bad reviews. We stayed in a suite and the room was very clean and well stocked. The beds and sheets were comfy and we had a balcony. The AC worked very well both TV's did work initially but the last night of our stay there was no signal on the second TV. Not too big of a deal really. The microwave didn't work as well but we asked and they replaced with a working microwave. The place was very quiet. My kids thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the pool here. The balcony was a great place to sit in the sun and sip a few cold ones after a long day at the beach. I would stay here again because for the price you can't really beat.

Called to ask if they had patio’s or balconies with the rooms. A man with a heavy Indian accent said “the beach is very far away from my hotel” (per Google, it is 1.5 miles from the beach. very close, but not what I asked) I said “ok…” and repeated my question about patios. Strange interaction, won’t be staying here.
