Common Ground Summer Camp Introduce

Common Ground Summer Camp, located at 358 Springside Ave, New Haven, CT 06515, falls under the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, specifically catering to youth summer camp experiences. You can reach them at (203) 389-4333 or +1 203-389-4333.

Based on customer reviews, Common Ground Summer Camp is highly regarded for providing a safe and accepting environment for children. Many kids have thoroughly enjoyed their time at the camp, indicating positive experiences with the programs and activities offered.

One notable aspect of Common Ground is its connection to Common Ground High School, as the location serves both purposes. This dual function contributes to the camp's established and secure environment, as highlighted by a reviewer who experienced the location as a camper, student, and counselor.

However, a recurring concern among parents is the pick-up system. The current process is described as chaotic and inefficient, involving navigating a congested parking lot to locate and retrieve children. Parents suggest implementing a more organized pick-up system, similar to those used by other camps, to alleviate the stress and confusion.

Despite the pick-up system issue, the camp is praised for its overall quality and positive impact on children. The safe and accepting environment, coupled with the engaging programs, makes Common Ground Summer Camp a valuable experience for young campers.

If Common Ground Summer Camp addresses the pick-up system concerns, it has the potential to provide an even more seamless and enjoyable experience for both children and parents.

Kids have loved their time at Common Ground. The only real frustration is the pick up system. Most camps have an efficient system that converts their parking lots into pick up lines with signs for children and their sections. At CG, you have to fight your way into the parking lot, find a spot, park, exit car, brave similarly overwhelmed parents in the lot to walk up, find your child, and reverse the process. Doesn’t seem like much? Fine. If it seems like that would accumulate over a session when you’re also juggling other kids and their routines, then you understand. Figure out a pick up system and this would be a five star experience.

I've been going there since I was 4 years old to when I was 13, then went to high school there, since it also functions as common ground high school. I also worked as a counselor at the camp. given all this experience I'd say it's a great place, very safe and accepting.

I enjoyed taking my students to Common Grounds. The walks and hiking are great. Nature is set for all ages, even toddlers. Gives you ideas to create in your backyard.
