I had a spiritual experience with a horse named Blaze here. If you get the opportunity, hang out with him a little and he will lift your spirits. What a great dude. I will be back and hopefully he's always there when I do. The tour guides were great! A bunch of us had a really good time. The scenery on the ride was beautiful too. And on top of that, cheaper than a night out at a restaurant.
This is a wonderful place. We went for a 1-hour trail ride. It is very nice and relaxing. They paired my husband and I up with very good horses. Even if you have no experience you will have a wonderful time. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Took my grandchildren ages 13 & 10. Kayla the guide was wonderful. I actually ran into a friend and old coworker with her group and we all rode together. We did the 2 hour ride was well worth the money spent.
What a great trail riding facility!! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, but I would caution those that have never ridden before. The pro's are that you really experience nature at its finest - no flat, level trails during my one-hour ride! The terrain can be precarious (navigating steep inclines and declines is typical) at times, so if someone has never been on a horse I would worry if it might be a bit daunting first experience (however, it is possible that they have different trails for different levels of experience - in which case, I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to go there, even without any past riding experience - it is an experience you won't want to miss). The horses seem very well mannered and took it all in stride (although mine tended to have a mind of its own - lol) But if you are looking for a real trail-riding experience with friendly guides and staff - with beautiful scenery - I totally recommend this stable. The only negative that I experienced is the campsite appears to allow dogs to run at large; there were three dogs that were 'harassing' our horses until someone called them back - but the guide and the horses, again, took it all in stride. Other than that, a wonderful facility!
Enjoyed our ride through the woods. Got up close to many resting deer. Our guide was very good and told us about the animals we were riding and history of the dude ranch. It was a very enjoyable experience. We plan on going again on a longer trip. Really nice place, you can even take your own horses.
I was very pleased with our ride today, I took my two granddaughters ages 5 and 9 on their first time trail ride. Our guide, Eve, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The horses were tame and I felt safe. The girls loved it and asked when they could do it again before they even got off their horses.
