This place is amazing! We found it by accident on our way to Devils Tower and it was a great highlight of our trip. It was a little expensive at $25 per night. There is 10 miles of dirt road leading to it, but you won’t drive through prettier countryside anywhere else and the road was well maintained. I am not giving a full 5 stars because the campground host had THE LOUDEST generator that we could easily hear across the lake and up the hill at our campsite. He also was not very friendly and his dog barked constantly.
Absolutely beautiful lake. Lots of great places to picnic and great camping spots.
Nice campground. Clean toilets. Couple of trails including one you can hop on right from the campground. Road from the Aladdin side is best. Follow USFS directions, not Google maps, from Sundance
Great time at this lake, it's clean, quiet and we'll managed. We come here every year! Should come during spring and fall for sure to avoid the flies. Great ATV spot!
Loved Cook Lake Camping. Very quiet, tranquil camping area. Nice camphost. Loved getting away from it all!
