09/19/2024 In our RV trying to outrun a storm, I phoned the park to request an early checkin. The owner was so kind and understanding! She allowed us to arrive 90 minutes early at no charge. We even managed to get parked and set up before the wind, rain and hail began. Our site was large, utilities are perfectly located and drainage from the deluge was excellent. We love Cool Sunshine RV Park and would love to return!
This is a very nice clean, well-maintained, well-equipped new campground. The facilities are very nice, the campsites are generous and everything worked as it should. The staff is friendly and helpful, highly recommend this campground! Conveniently located within walking distance of several nice downtown restaurants, breweries, and shops. Also conveniently located near Great Sand Dunes National Park and Zapata Falls.
Very nice RV Park right in the center of Alamosa. Some of the cleanest and nicest restrooms we've seen in any RV Park, and we've been to many many. Big roomy sites and the Hostess was very friendly and informative. Weather was our enemy during our stay, I messed up leaving a day early (my fault, dummy) and I left a nice camp chair so we had quite a littler adventure. We'll most certainly stay again when we're in the area. Highly recommend this Park!
Beautiful newish park. Very clean, gated, gravel pull through lots, easy access to the highway. Shirley was the nicest lady and showed us exactly how to use the codes and the club house. Only downfall is that the train runs right by it. Would definitely recommend and if we go this way again we will be sure to stay here.
This immaculately maintained park is located within easy walking distance to downtown Alamosa with several restaurants, coffee places, bars, and brewpubs. The average sized full hook up sites have gravel pads and grass between, with both back in and pull through sites. There is a coded pedestrian gate through the chain link fence at back of the park to walk into town. The bathhouse is clean and modern and there is a laundry and weight/exercise room in the same building. They fill propane tanks and there is a dog park. Immediately outside the fence there is a railroad track. During my 3 night visit I heard the train twice and only during the day. This is not a kid oriented park so no playground, just a gaga pit and a small putting green that the kids like.
