This is a pretty park right on Salt River. You have a distant view of Superstition Mountain way down stream. It is not that easy to get down to the river, due to some hills along the banks of the river. There is a pavilion and some picnic tables and a restroom. This recreation area is at the end of the road.

Coons bluff is perfect place to go and not be over crowded! Great place to explore and the best way to find more information is the Facebook group. Lower Salt River Kayakers!

This is a gorgeous place to hike along the river. If you go early enough before sunrise or around sunset and after, you could get a glimpse of wild horses. The squirrels were obviously unafraid of humans. Thought he was gonna crawl up my pant leg. Lol This was really relaxing and there is a trail really well traveled. Loading canoes or kayaks would be pretty easy from here
