An awesome state forest park in West Virginia. The overlook is accessible from the main visitor center and you don’t need to hike for that. It’s Ana amazing place to visit and I would recommend visiting this during snow as well.
Spent a few days exploring Coopers Rock State Forest. Managed to hike many trails, check out some view points and enjoy the Rhododendron Campground while hammock camping. -Laundry, showers, flushable toilets available -There are lots of areas to stop off and picnic -Trails are clearly marked and easy to access
Amazing place to witness God's gift. The view is spectacular. So many little trails to take and wonder. The gift shop has so many cute things to purchase. ( Honey sticks were my favorite!!) The cashier's were so nice! Couldn't help but to feel a bit of home. If you need some peace, and stress relief, take a drive. Remember you are loved, and so very important!
Always such a fun time camping here & we loved seeing all the leaves changing colors. They have bathrooms, showers, place to clean dishes etc. The water is cold in the bathroom to wash your hands, but other than that, everything was great.
Took the Raven Rock trail today. They call it a trail, but it's basically a dirt road. Lots of loose gravel and ups and downs so make sure you have good footwear. It's a long uphill grade on the way back up. Views are well worth it, though!
