This place was absolutely beautiful! I did not know what to expect as this was ultimately my first visit to New York. I stayed that the campground (Lot 15) for 6 days for my son's Cooperstown tournament. Ellen and her staff were amazing! They were kind, welcoming, and helpful! The bathrooms were always clean, hot water was always available for showers, and their laundromat came in handy when my son needed his clothes washed. The campground was clean and there were plenty of amenities and things to do (i.e., fishing, pool, rec hall, arcade, etc.).

Lovely property and kind owners. My partner unfortunately fell ill upon arrival into town, and despite us being non-outdoorsy "snooty city folk," the Park Model cabin we stayed in was more than comfortable enough to relax and recoup during our stay. Even though we weren't able to take advantage of all the amenities and activities available, it's still a great spot to unwind and take a stroll. Very chill environment amongst fellow campers. Would definitely come back.

This was my first time staying here and let me tell you. It’s such an amazing experience. There’s plenty to do here there’s fishing there’s paddle boat rentals. There’s a pool there’s community bonfires there’s hayrides. The owners are very nice people and very helpful. They’re super welcoming. Everything is clean here the bathrooms and the showers. Also, you get to make great friends with campers. Overall, an amazing experience and definitely look forward to coming back

We stayed at the campground this past week for 2-3 days. It had rained like crazy a few days before our arrival so the place was very muddy. They showed us to our campsite which was really in rough condition and instead of offering another drier site, they kept us there. There was only one working shower for the entire campgrounds and it was old and in need of TLC (The other 3 showers were either locked or being renovated.) The water pressure was a trickle - very hard to shower with. The day before we left, the toilets near our campsite were locked and the sewage tank was uncovered-obviously a problem. Woke up the last morning there at 8:10am to the sewage truck outside our window, getting ready to pump the tank. The campgrounds never alerted us to the locked toilets or to the pumping. The people working were very nice but this isn't customer service as far as I see. We will not return to this campgrounds and won't recommend it either.

A Hidden Gem in Cooperstown, NY I recently had the pleasure of staying here and I can confidently say it has become one of my new favorite spots. My wife and I, including our two dogs, rented a camper on-site, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the beauty of the park was evident. Established in 1969, the ambiance was all around; from the arcade room to the paddle boats. The central pond provided a picturesque backdrop, making it an ideal setting for relaxation and recreation. Bring a fishing pole or bring a good book while relaxing on the waters edge in your Adirondack chair. The campground owners were incredibly pleasant and went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Their helpfulness truly made a difference in our experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the sense of community among the guests. Everyone we encountered was courteous and friendly, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. It was refreshing to see children engaging with nature—fishing and riding bikes—rather than being glued to their screens. This campground fosters a family-friendly environment that encourages outdoor activities and connection with nature. This is not some corporate KOA. This is a legacy campground with some of the same travelers coming here with their families for decades. The evenings were filled with the delightful smell of campfires, which far surpassed the smell of a thin continental breakfast from a cookie-cutter hotel. There’s something inherently comforting about gathering around a fire, sharing stories, and enjoying the simple pleasures of camping. Having camped all over the country throughout my life, I have high expectations for campgrounds, and this one exceeded them all. This doesn’t mean plush robes and WiFi. The combination of natural beauty, friendly atmosphere, and excellent campground amenities is what makes it stand out among the rest. I can wholeheartedly recommend this campground to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We’re already looking forward to our next visit, and I can’t wait to make more memories at this beautiful spot. If you want concrete and fast food, go somewhere else. If you want to feel alive again and detach yourself and your family from all this other craziness, leave it all behind you and come on in.
