Cotton Patch RV Campground

Needed a last minute campsite for a weekend at the lake and boy did we strike gold! The owners of Cotton Patch are super friendly and helpful. Nice shaded sites, clean facilities, 30/50 amp and full hookups. They have everything you need from a campground including a general store, laundry room, bathhouse and they even have a propane fill station on site. Do not hesitate to give this place a try. We will definitely be back.

Now that it is time to say goodbye, we wanted to share our experience here at the Cottonpatch campground. My husband and I have been here since December 28th 2023. We travel for work! This campground is by far the BEST campground we have yet to stay in. The owners go above and beyond to help everybody with everything. From helping them hook up their water and sewer hoses and electric, helping some park and level, or even hauling some trailers to relocate, etc. etc.. We have been here long enough now to have witnessed both the great and occasional not so great residence. I think all of us “great” residents would agree that all of our needs are met and the accommodations here go above and beyond! There is a clean laundry facility, exterior shower houses and clean restrooms. If you enjoy nature, there is a very scenic nature area for walking. For those of us who have pets, there are multiple pet waste pick up stations and bags are provided. (Of course, there are always going to be those who do not pick up after their pets, but the owners do a very good job at reminding those residents that it is their responsibility to do so). The grounds are very well maintained and trash is picked up every week! In addition, there is WIFI for those who work remotely or like to stream on the internet. All of the roads and lots are graveled and the roads are graded as needed. (Not having to park on dirt is so nice!) Also, there is so much space in between residents that most of us have two automobiles, and some even have a boat or some sort of trailer as well. I can assure you that what you get for the price they charge is absolutely amazing! We are “Happy Campers” here! Not to mention, I was even allowed to have a container garden this summer which made my stay feel even more like home. We have stayed in RV parks all across America and again, this one has been the best by far! Thank you Cottonpatch Campground for the amazing hospitality.

Traveling for work we get to stay in a lot campgrounds across the country. This one has been the best. The lots are large with shade trees. Plenty of parking for 2 vehicles. Lots of room to walk the dog and clean up stations with bags available. Picnic table at each spot(no extra charge). If we’re ever in the area again this place will definitely be our first call.

Apparently honesty and integrity are not a part of this campground. I support small business ownership, this is the exception. Spend your money where it is appreciated. (Not here) Disappointed, Retired Educator

My husband Jon and I needed a place quickly as our farm sold fast. We wanted to be cautious Cause you just never know what you get sometimes. We were pleasantly surprised by the campgrounds as well as the owner's and other campers. From the moment we arrived other campers helped us hook up our propane, unload our truck and whatever else we needed to begin our new endeavor as full time campers. What a treat! Tim and Tessy, the owners, go above and beyond to accommodate us from letting us put up a small fence for our dogs to moving our enormous rig to a more level spot. (It was relatively new spot and the rain kept settling our rig and making it unlevel) A request that they were more than understanding and willing to accommodate. The grounds are well maintained and offers all that we needed during our stay. They are close to Baden Lake for some great fishing, picnics and swimming. Shopping and good restaurants are within 10 min or so away. 30 min or so from the North Carolina Zoo, the transportation museum, An hr or so to Lazy 5 Ranch ( a drive thru animal park) where you will enjoy not only the animals but the enormous playscape for the kids. It is all well worth the drive. There are a lot of long term campers brought to the area for work, but it is also family friendly. Worth coming for a fun family vacation. Dont miss out on this Gem in the country. You won’t regret it!

The owners of this place are great. They keep up with the sites. They just put down new mulch, and every time an RV or camper leaves, they re-level the sites before the next person pulls in.
