My wife and I made reservations for $20 a night, but with a $7 fee for online reservations. We didn't know that computers need to be paid for wages! The view is beautiful when coming into the campground, but the (8-9 ft easily) reeds along the lake block the lake view and prevent any fishing from lakeside campsites. From July on, no campfires or charcoal grills are allowed and are strictly enforced. Only propane cooking is allowed. The campground is owned by Idaho Power, who set the rules, not by BLM.

Campground is nice if you enjoy generators running all night long. They definitely don't enforce quiet hours. Sheriff is on the way to enforce them now but I won't be back. Generators are the worst thing about Campground camping, not worth spending money to hear a damned engine running all night. But you better not bring an atv...

Wonderful camping spot! Fishing from the bank wasn't good though. Will definitely come again though!

I enjoyed my stay here. All the sites were level, and there were no other campers when I came mid-week. I took a site on the water side. Most of those had a short (10 feet or less) trail through the reeds to the water, which starts only 3 inches deep so it's easy to get in if you are inclined. Some of the trails were overgrown, probably at the sites less used. The reeds are covered with aphids and are sticky with sap. Things to be aware of: - AFAICT the only way to pay at the park is using the computer panel on the north side of the shed facing the. "fee station". - All of the sites had "reserved" signs on them. It wasn't until I walked around that I noticed that many of them were blank, and others had the relative dates marked. So it's necessary to walk over and check whichever sites you like, to see if it is reserved for the day(s) you want. At first I thought everything was reserved for my one-night stay, but actually none of them were. - All of the sites are really RV sites with gravel base. I was able to pitch my tent off the main driveway so the tent pegs weren't impossible to hammer in. But I recommend heavy duty pegs and a hammer or hatchet to pound them in through the gravel. - the restroom I used was close by and clean. There are frost-free water hydrants fairly close but I didn't use them. - The site I was in was almost the closest to the boat ramp, but it was still far enough away that I did not have issues with noise or fumes. - There are quite a few flying insects - flies, etc. I did not notice a lot of mosquitoes though - As of today, no campfires are allowed due to the extreme fire conditions. I expect that to run the rest of the summer. I had my handy propane burner, which I think is OK.
