I came in right before sunset to camp for the night in my SUV. Sites on the Cottonwood loop were quite spacious for parking but not all were super far away from your neighbor. Not on top of each other either tho, I felt like I had a decent amount of privacy and couldn't hear every single sound everyone was making. Each space had a picnic table and a fire ring with a cooking grate over the top of half of it which I wish I had gotten the chance to use but just didn't have a need for it this time. Well maintained spots overall. My one slight annoyance was that the bathrooms and showers were so far away from my site (121, which was a great site otherwise, nice and private backed up to a hill that has a steep and somewhat loose foot trail up to the top right off the campsite. Beautiful view for sunsets). Kind of a pain to have to walk out of the way to go around the paved loop so as not to cut through other campsites but not horribly unreasonable and i needed a walk anyway. There's a path or two that cut through the loop but hard to see in the dark. Also FYI you will have to pay for a day pass for parking on top of the campsite cost when you arrive in order to enter the park, which is $11 unless you have an annual pass or some other exception. Details are stated upon booking confirmation. Overall its a great local option for a campground as well as plenty of outdoor/water activities all within one park! Very convenient and well maintained facilities. Never had any contact with any staff but saw them around as they cleaned sites and did their rounds. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again!

The young lady working at the desk in the campground went above and beyond! She has red hair and glasses. When I arrived at the campground I had been lost for a while and my ebike was almost dead with a full pack, probably 100 pounds bike and all plus me at a whopping 135 pounds. I digress, she let me cool off and she refilled my water bottle as she was telling me don't worry about it I can give you directions. Meanwhile I was allowed to charge my bike for enough time to make it to a hotel nearby. I arrived at the hotel only to realize my bike lock wasn't in my backpack. I was super stressed and tired but I was almost certain I left it by the front door of the campground office. The same lady said she was doing an end of day walk through when she noticed it and she immediately set it aside for me and I got it back the very next day. 😁 What a splendiferous experience!!!! Love you guys!
