You will find at Cottonwood Lake Picnic Area.. crystal clear water, many Picknick spots with BBQ under birch trees, lovely trails around the lake, friendly people who love fishing and also a variety of events about nature and wild animals during summer time. Dogs must be on leash.
Day use only. $10 fee unless you got one of the accepted passes. Great fishing here. Came here as we were camping nearby.
The Lake is beautiful and useful for all sorts of wonderful outdoor activities. It has easy access from Buena Vista.
Very pretty area. Can tell it is quite busy in the summer season. Road is rough beyond the lake. There are restrooms available at the lake area. Dogs are required to be on a leash due to National Forest rules. The fee area around the lake has picnic tables and rustic grills available. There is Dispersed Camping along the road above the lake, some are along the creek.
Our favorite place in Buena Vista! A beautiful, secluded, peaceful area. Great for a little picnic, floating on the lake, or catching a trail head!
