Had a great day exploring the shoreline with my son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons. Nice spring day...we celebrated Easter early, hid some eggs, found some fossils. The shoreline was family friendly and we loved the little park! What a happy day!!!

Beautiful camp sites. Very clean bathrooms. Only downside is some of sites do not have full hook ups for campers. But there is a marina nearby and boat ramps in the camp grounds. Gorgeous lake. Fun experience.

Couer d'Alene is a great park for family outings. Most sites have great views of the lake, there is a playgound and lots of green space within the campground. There's even a real-life happy tree ala Bob Ross' Joy of Painting. :) All the sites in the upper loop have electricity but a handful on the outer perimer don't have water. It seems to me it would be pretty easy and not too costly to run a water line to those sites, which would be a big improvement.

Camped for three nights in a tent. Pros: - Fine campground overall, fairly well maintained, flush toilets and showers with warm water, nice playground for kids. - Friendly camp hosts. - Our picnic table included a small roof-covering, which was highly providential given it rained most of our stay. Not all sites had this though, the covered ones were sporadic. - Lake is immediately accessible, if that’s what you’re coming for. Cons: - No soap or lights in the restroom facilities. - For tent campers staying in sites without hookups, restrooms are a goodly hike up the steep hill. Lots of exercise during this trip. - Nature trails and some lake access points are right behind the campsites with no clear path or entry point. If you unknowingly pick one of those sites, be prepared to have other campers walking, walking their dogs, kids running, etc essentially right through your campsite.
