This campground is accessible via Little Pines and has a great group campground that is perfect for bouldering and assembly! There are bear bins for the trash and pump water. There is a bathroom with a toilet. It is handicap accessible. There is a wonderful place for assembly towards the back of one of the campsites. Going in the cooler months prevents issues with excessive flies. Check the dates it is in season for use - it isn’t year you’ve. Consider the adjacent Little Pines if you find yourself off season for Coulter.
No fires of any kind (including propane) until February, so cold soak or pre-pack only! The water spigots also seem to be done for the season, there was water on Friday, but none by Sunday morning, so bring all drinking and washing water! Site has it’s own single pit toilet, water spigot, picnic tables, large capacity grill, and separate large fire ring with bench seating surrounding it. Mostly exposed to the sun during the day, recommend canopies to put over the picnic tables, awesome views at sunset and hid the night sky. Also recommend some critter proof food containers! We were robbed by foxes in the night and scrub jays during the day:) Excellent spot!
Nice views. Clean bathrooms. Close to LA, no cell service.
Had a great outdoor camping here just restrooms was a problem
It is ok. Just ok.
