Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Bradenton-Lakewood Ranch, FL

Booked my reservation a month out which was for a non-smoking king room. Well not only had the room been smoked in they had not turned on the a/c so the air in the room was very stagnant. When I brought it to the manager’s attention he treated me like I was lying and said the he doesn’t understand because they have no smoking in the whole hotel and just kept repeating himself and said he didn’t know what I wanted. So that was the first issue, second was that there were a couple of dead roaches on the floor. And then to top it off went to have the continental breakfast which ended at 10 and at 9:30 when we arrived there was nothing left out, the lady had almost everything but the cereal cleaned up. Needless to say we were not overly happy with our stay this time and we have used this hotel quite a few times over the last 4 years as our family has grown and my parents live right down the street.

Rooms are nice and clean, staff could use some refining. Woken up last week by staff fighting and cursing with a lady in the room next to me, room 309 I believe. She was out of control but rather than cuss her out and fight in the hallway kick her out. I was then up for the next 3 hours which started at 12:30 am. Having to be in class at 8 sucked....

This hotel suffers from two easily solvable problems. The first is that management has made the baffling decision to add a three inch foam layer between you and the mattress. The result is an already warm bed that feels like a furnace. We’re here in a big group and several guests complained of the same problem. The second is doors that slam rather than soft close. Endless loud slamming echoing down the halls late at night and early in the morning. The question now is whether management will choose to solve these problems or not.

Other than the toilet in the room being three inches off the floor, it is a good value. The person who sets up breakfast is super nice.

Mostly positive. The beds weren't great but manageable. Everything was clean a tidy when we got to our room. Your pool, however, needs some attention. It's etching and has black algae in it. Could use a trichlor shock and then eventually a complete resurface. I'm a pool guy, so I notice this stuff. Overall, we had a good stay. Thank you.
