Based on recent customer feedback, the campground presents a mixed experience. Some visitors have praised its cleanliness, quiet atmosphere, and well-maintained environment, highlighting it as a great family campground. The availability of a small beach and easy access to nearby conveniences such as shopping and food options (though some restaurants' hours may vary) are also appreciated. A central laundry area with bathrooms adds to the convenience for campers.
For those who enjoy water activities, Country Shore Camping Area offers opportunities for fishing and kayaking, particularly when there are fewer boats on the water. However, some guests have noted issues with boaters not adhering to proper distance rules. It's also worth noting that swimming in the water may present the risk of encountering leeches, as mentioned by one reviewer.
Regarding activities and community engagement, some visitors found the activities offered were not what they were accustomed to, with less participation from other campers. The size of the campsites has been positively mentioned.
Potential seasonal campers should be aware that the seasonal period reportedly ends on September 20th, which might be earlier than some other campgrounds, and a full seasonal rate is charged. Additionally, the campground charges per person rather than based on site occupancy limits. Visitors planning short stays with additional family members should also note that even weekend visits from family may incur a site rental fee.
It's important for campers to know that Country Shore Camping Area does not have a snack or any kind of store on-site, so planning ahead for any necessary supplies is crucial.
In summary, Country Shore Camping Area offers a clean and relatively quiet camping experience with access to fishing and kayaking. While some aspects like on-site amenities and activity engagement may be limited, its location provides a base for exploring the surrounding area. We encourage you to consider these points when planning your local camping trip.

Customer Reviews
Activites not what we were used to. Not much participation from other campers. On the plus side loved size of our site. Down side kids got leeches on them when swimming. Plus side great fishing and kayaking when less boats on water. Boaters did not follow rules and keep proper distance from others. All staff nice with the exception of Penny. Very rude when dealing with her. Went seasonal with them a month late and then found out they end in Sept 20, a month earlier than most and charged full seasonal rate. They charge for everyone instead of just charging over allowable site occupancy and when we let our daughter and husband take a weekend alone, they were charged rate for renting a site. They do not have snack or any kind of store. So if you need anything plan on heading out of the campground.
A very clean, quiet well maintained family campground. Stayed there for the season and really enjoyed it! Nice little beach, easy access to everything. Central laundry area with bathrooms. Shopping, food was a short drive away. Most restaurants were open towards the end of the season due to the virus. Great time!!
We have a seasonal site at Country Shore and it has been wonderful having a place we can go on weekends, especially this year! The staff and other campers are friendly and helpful. We are happy to have joined the Country Shore family!
NOT for tenters. This is a 100% RV Camping Area. The sites are very small and give 0 privacy, it honestly feels like your in an RV Park rather than a campground. The Staff was okay but did seem annoyed whenever we asked any questions. If you are looking for a true camping experience with nature this is NOT the place to go, you are better off camping in your backyard than camping at Country Shore Campgrounds.
We had two restful quiet nights at this RV Park. It was one of the hottest weekends of the summer and thankfully this campground provided plenty of tall trees for shade and a large lake to cool off in.
