Courtyard Lake George

This is the only hotel I’ve ever been (what I consider) a “regular”. The staff is exceptionally friendly, pleasant, and helpful. They treat me like I am an actual regular (which I know in hotel world I am no where near). Location couldn’t be better, coffee shop is solid. Bar is cute. I’ve never had a room without a stunning view of lake George. Love this Marriott. Also has covered EV charging!

We headed upstate NY for a family ski and snowboard vacation. We wanted to have options for those who do not ski. This Courtyard Marriott was a perfect, serene hotel. The lobby was very quaint fully decorated for Christmas time. Our spacious suite had a balcony overlooking the lake. The room, living room, and two bathrooms were immaculate upon checking in. They offer daily room service so there was a clean place awaiting our snowy adventures. The restaurant serves pretty good food if you don't feel like venturing out. If you do venture out, try Mario's about three minutes walk from the hotel. The bar was busy every night with visitors and locals but nobody was rowdy. The pool and fitness center are small but nice.

The service at this hotel is not good at all. As a platinum member, I had to ask for the upgrade I knew was available and they begrudgingly gave it to me. The room had dirty towels with pubic hairs stuck to it (see pic) in the new room. This is not a new experience- we stay there out of convenience and my Marriott loyalty, and every time something happens that is way off from any other Marriott I have stayed at. Poorly run, poor attitude, housecleaning has always been an issue. I honestly don’t know why I keep coming hoping it will be a better experience, but it’s not. Rooms are ok. Charlie’s is great. Price is average.

Super noisy. Location is convenient to the local shops. Parking is easy. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, though the fifth floor can hear the road. Good luck resting though. The place is on its second night of kids running rampant up and down halls, guests and possible caregivers drinking in the open bar adjacent to the lobby and elevator. We overheard the group of kids saying they were playing hide and seek in the elevator. There’s little respite and no serenity. I’ve stayed at far better managed Courtyard’s, and other brands for comparable star “level”.

Best hotel in Lake George. Had a room with 2 king size beds and a beautiful view. Good size pool. Huge lounge with a fireplace and big screen TV. On-site restaurant, Charlie's, Convenient, Excellent food, Casual atmosphere.
