Amazing experience! Friendly staff with great recommendations for things to see and do. The food in the bistro was very tasty, and the little alcove tables gave great privacy. The ONLY drawback to this place is the showers. Beautiful design, but with no door they get water everywhere whenever you turn them on. I know nothing can be done about it, and I don't mind it once you get used to it...just need more towels :p
The rooms are perfectly fine and decently clean. The shower head is weak. However, the real standout, is the desk clerk Conrad. He went above and beyond to help us on a busy night where he had about 1000 pre teen girls and their families there for a softball tournament. He was patient, and helpful. He spoke many times about how much he loves his job, and it shows.
Conrad at the front desk was incredibly helpful, friendly and went the extra mile for our reservation! We are very grateful for his humor and outstanding customer service. A treasure of an employee for the Marriott. Will highly recommend this hotel location!
The building is updated and modern. The staff is friendly and on maintenance. The only downside is interstate 5 is very close. Pick a room on the awning side of the building. (may need a sound dead-n-ing wall) They've spent money on an outside deck, but you might not be able to hear others while sitting outside. Nice stay, modern, clean interior, lobby clean, staff works.
We really enjoyed our stay here. I wanted to give it the full 5 stars but I couldn't this time because our room had a terrible sewage odor coming from the bathroom our entire first day/ night. The following day we complained to maintenance and he had to come into our room and fix it while we were there. It wasn't a huge deal but no accommodations were offered to us for the inconvenience of having that putrid smell and maintenance in our room for about 40 minutes coming and going to fix it. The hotel is very nice and updated. It's the first hotel I've been in with a $20 incidental fee per night, which was super low. It was also the first hotel I've been in where the streaming services were already on the television making it simple to log in and use. We booked a third night and it automatically logs out your info upon checkout which again was a nice bonus. The restauraunt was nice but only had a few options. We did enjoy what we ordered. There is continental breakfast for a fee I believe It was $15 for yogurt, a muffin, eggs, and coffee. Their breakfast was very over priced and had very few options, they also ran out about 30 minutes before closing. They do have a starbucks machine in the lobby to get drinks any time. The staff was nice and helpful. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. Beds are comfy. There's a pool and workout room. Parking gets full quickly at night. They are very conveniently located next to downtown olympia where the capital building is so there's tons of restauraunts and cafes to choose from that were all delicious. We will definitely stay again, I just wish we were offered some sort of discount even taken off our first night for having to endure that smell for almost 24 hours in our room not knowing what it was or where it was coming from until I noticed the bottom of the toilet leaking.
