I’ve really enjoyed my stay here. The view from my room is beautiful, I can see the water and palm trees from the window. The room is clean and the bedding is comfortable. The water in the shower is steady and hot. This location is under construction, but that hasn’t affected my stay here. My only issue is with the maids on my floor. They have the emergency latch open on one of the rooms, and they keep allowing the door to slam against it, each time they enter and leave the room. This has been going on over an hour. I have been trying to rest and this noise is still happening. There is an easy fix for this. They need to use an actual door stopper when cleaning the rooms. Please fix this, it is unacceptable.

I stayed in this hotel in April of 2019. The incident I'm about to replay still bothers me. If I had received a guest satisfaction survey I would have rated this location a "1". I flew in and stayed at this location for one night to pick up a puppy the next day. The breeder delivered the puppy to me in the parking lot the next morning after I’d checked out. After she left I took the puppy over to the grassy area to put him down to just walk around a little. I got to my car, was about to jump in, and the manager came out SCREAMING at me for “letting your dog poop on the lawn”. Note the dog hadn’t relieved itself; no poop, no pee. No questions, just screaming. I explained that the dog hadn’t done anything and that I had stayed overnight. She then accused me of having the dog in the hotel over night. No questions; again… more screaming and accusations. She screamed that they were pet free and that if others saw me there with a dog they would think they allowed pets. (ok, so future guests are cruising the hotel and would see me with the dog in the parking lot???). It took ME breathing and being an adult to deescalate the situation. She should have been more professional and courteous as a Marriott professional. Opposed to a lengthy confrontation, it would have been so much easier if she had just politely asked a few questions first. “Good morning. Are you a guest? I see you have a dog. Was it with you over night? I was just concerned that you had a pet on the property.” I would have politely explained and apologized for any confusion. On top of that, I’m 100% certain that her little back up agent saw me walk out of the hotel that morning WITHOUT a dog after check out. Instead I was “greeted” in an aggressive an accusatory manner. If this is the type of professional demeanor one should expect at Marriott properties, I’d stay away. It also isn't safe for her to just run up on people in a parking lot. That's dangerous. She's the short, older manager.

Lindita was the lovely manger that provided my accommodations. She was pleasant to speak with and did her best to make us feel comfortable as they are still undergoing renovations. May be nice to complete small sections instead of large areas being affected by such a project. Overall still comfortable, quiet, convenient and easy to navigate. Would stay again. Also, they do have a pool and hot tub for those hot spring and summer days, very close to the beach attractions and 10 minutes from Cardova shopping mall, about 5 minutes drive to historic downtown.

Here's the rub... I arrived as the hotel was undergoing a major renovation, both inside and out. I noted that their website doesn't indicate the renovation, and the photos are of the hotel before renovation had begun. So yeah, it's a bit of a mess and very loud during the day. The front desk staff are occasionally there and are very friendly. I don't blame them for leaving the desk from time to time to get away from the noisy renovation work. As a retired manager, I have a lot of good memories of me trying to be fair with my customers, and I find it off-putting that I wasn't offered a small discount at check-in, for the inconveniences. Instead, there are signs apologizing and thanking me for my consideration. So am I going to become remember of the Marriott Bonvoy club? Nah, not based on this experience. On the positive side, I will say that the location is fantastic, situated right before the bridge for pensacola beach and next to very good restaurants. And i'm sure this will be a very nice place to stay, once the renovations are done.

Stayed here for a weekend. No free breakfast not even coffee!!! Left the room early on Saturday to explore Pensacola and when we got back to the room after 3pm it was not cleaned. Asked the front desk and was told they clean every 3 days!! Bed not even made. NEVER AGAIN!
