Great campground. FCFS spots with electric and water hook ups. Clean shower house, fun play ground, and excellent water spots. If you blast your radio so loudly that you have to scream to talk to the person next to you, you will be asked to turn it down. If you make A LOT of racket past the 11 p.m. weekend quiet time, you’ll be asked to keep it down. There isn’t alcohol allowed. Don’t be inconsiderate. If you’re looking for a quiet, small, friendly campground without weirdos that just want to party, this is your spot.

I was out there with a family member that is a member out there, long story short truck got a flat tire while loading the boat. Inquired about an air pump, they couldn’t find the key to the maintaince building so I went to put the spare on, some grouchy club member told the host I was trying to break into the the building, me being law enforcement I obviously wasn’t and was no where near it. Club member drives by several time flipping me off and making rude comments, then the host comes up screaming asking for where my family members pass was, it was in the windshield of the truck, she proceeds to get in the truck mind you while I’m under it with a sketchy jack that comes with a 2015 Silverado and slams the door. Very dangerous, then they get in my face scream at me. Cops were called they revoked my family members membership with out hearing his side or my side. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Between the rudeness of the member and the host. It was the first time I went there and will be the last. Don’t waste your money on a membership.

Crab Orchard is a beautiful place but now on the other hand the host are a different story.things arent fare there.its like if your in a tent your looked down on but yet theres alot of homeless ppl out there. We go we have to pay rent for a site with water and elc. Now these homeless ppl are allowed to go on other sites to use water and elc. How far is that ? Its not . We work hard for our money we spend almost the whole summer camping we pay for 2 site there 12 of us. You can only stay 14 days and have to leave for 2 and you can go back for another 14 days its hard packing up just to leave for 2 days. Any way. What really bothers me is why should i pay for water and elc if others can use it for free.

We think it is a very nice place. Haven't met any grouches, and is a very clean place. Campground host, Sherry, is very pleasant and helpful with any questions you may have.

3-17-2025 park/RV areas being cleaned up after storms 24/25 yr tree damage. Lake up to full pool . KB. Fishing off boat docks have started. Photos to follow.
