The environment of Cranbrook / St. Eugene KOA Journey is situated along a nice river, providing beautiful mountain views for visitors. Downtown Cranbrook is approximately 15 minutes away, offering further conveniences and attractions.

Services and features at this KOA campground include access to resort facilities, which is considered a great perk by at least one long-term visitor. The washrooms and laundry room are noted to be very clean. However, recent reviews indicate significant changes in management and staffing, leading to concerns about service quality. Specifically, office/store hours are reported to change daily due to staffing issues, making it difficult to purchase items when needed. The campground no longer has a full-time camp host on-site, and maintenance presence in the park is reportedly infrequent. Issues such as uncut grass, prevalent weeds, and inconsistent watering have been raised by recent guests.

Key features of the location include its proximity to a golf course, casino, and restaurants, as well as its scenic setting along a river with mountain views. Access to resort facilities is another potential benefit. However, recent changes in management have led to a perceived decrease in quality, including unreliable office/store hours, lack of a full-time camp host, infrequent maintenance, and issues with site upkeep such as uncut grass and weeds. While the washrooms and laundry are clean, these positive aspects are overshadowed by the reported decline in overall service and maintenance.

Promotional information is not explicitly provided, and recent reviews suggest a decline in the overall experience despite the beautiful location and access to some amenities. Long-term visitors express disappointment with increased prices coupled with decreased quality under new management. Local users considering this campground should be aware of these recent concerns regarding staffing, maintenance, and service consistency. While the location remains attractive due to its proximity to amenities and natural beauty, potential guests may want to inquire about the current service levels and operational status before booking.

This is our 5th year staying at this KOA campground but probably our last. Unfortunately they are under new management with all new staff. The prices have increased but quality has decreased. The office/store hours change daily due to staffing issues, making it impossible to purchase items when needed. They no longer have a full time camp host on site. You rarely see any maintenance people in the park. We've been here 9 days and the grass in our site has not been cut. Weeds are everywhere and the watering is inconsistent. We've had to pull weeds ourselves to make our site enjoyable. On a more positive note, the washrooms and laundry room are very clean and having access to the resort facilities is great. This campground is in a beautiful area and has great potential. KOA is going to lose a lot of long term clients at this location unless things change for the better. We wish Richard and his team were still running things

This is one of the nicest and cleanest KOAs we have ever been too. We decided immediately upon setting up that we wanted to stay another day. They were very nice and helpful with our request. This Journey is next to a beautiful river. Restaurants, mini golf and some other activities that us 4 old people didn't participate in. I highly recommend this place and if we ever get this way again (I hope we do) we will definitely stay here again!

Great Campground with Topnotch Facilities, clean and well maintained. Nice setting next to the river, but the spot will look even nicer, once the Trees have grown a bit, so it doesn’t have the charm of a Parking-Lot anymore. You can use the pool and Hot-tub of the Hotel next door for free.

They turn the sprinklers on at 9am soaking your entire site and anything outside. I opened up my door one morning and immediately got blasted standing on my top step at 9:30am by two sprinklers. We were trying to pack up to leave and they turned the sprinklers on again at 9am and I was soaked. I understand the he grass has to be watered, but we couldn’t even cook breakfast outside at 9am one morning because the sprinklers were soaking our camper. Also I do not understand how they expect people to pack up to leave when the sprinklers are going. I was trying to unhook my sewer and water lines and they turned on the sprinklers soaking me and spraying into my storage hatch. Had to flag down the maintenance guy so he could turn them off. It was just so weird. I have never seen anything like this at all the campgrounds we have stayed at in our two years of full time RVing. For the price they charge you should be able to use the outside area around your camper after 9am in the morning. Couldn’t even get out of the door of my camper without getting blasted by the water.
