Beautiful and clean. The river was way down, but central Texas is in a drought right now. Enjoyed the peace, quiet and watching nature.
Small, very nice campground. Appears there's space for about 30 campers. Plenty of space between RV spots, we had 50 amp service, water. Bathrooms are very accessible, plenty of hot water, reasonably clean ( some toilet paper and other toiletry wrappings on the floors). All sites are near the lake, some have beneficial trees for shade, all have picnic table with shelters. Very family friendly, quiet. Definitely recommend. As of today's date, the lake level is 12 feet low (according to a local fisherman)
Restrooms and shower areas are totally infested with brown recluse nests and spiders, black widows and scorpions. It's was so dirty in the restrooms and shower area and the heater was stuck on so the temperature was a 120°. Cleaning lady couldn't even clean the place due to heat exhaustion after 5 minutes. I almost passed out taking a cold shower after 3 days and couldn't stand not showering. My 8 year old granddaughter was bit and became very sick. I was bit also but managed to kill the spider before being fully bitten. I'm still sick because of the bite. Disgusting filthy facility and I do not recommend ever going to Crane's Mill Park in Texas. Nasty Nasty restrooms and showers. Should be shut down until fully fumigated and cleaned properly for their patrons. That is if they cared and I don't believe they do at all. Requested a refund and was denied. I will not stop until I get at least the $$ I had to spend to go to another RV park that was emaculant. Jellystone park was immaculate compared to Cranes Mill Park. One of the park ranger stays at Jellystone and not even the park he works at. Know why? Crane's Mill Park is the worst. He stays elsewhere so that right there means They are a gross, filthy, disgusting park.. Sad when Rangers don't stay at the park they work at, due to the Rangers running the Park DO NOT CARE ABOUT US THEY'RE PATRONS.... TERRIBLE CONDITIONS DONT GO TO CRANE'S MILL AND CAMP..
We have been camping here for years. The camp sites are spacious, the views are incredible and the park is maintained with the highest standards. The sites are always clean and free of debris when we set up camp, the bathrooms are spotless, the trash cans are always empty and the walking trail appears to be groomed on a regular basis. The volunteers that live out here clearly take pride in this campground as it is their home 24/7.
This park is beautiful. It is very clean and the sites are amazing with a covered picnic table at every site. There is a beautiful path that you can walk or if you want to drive over to the observation area you can have a picnic in the car while watching the boats and natural wildlife, there are loads of deer. We have really enjoyed staying here. The bathrooms are very big, clean ans probably some of the nicest campsite bathrooms you can get. All in all this park is a 10 out of 10. Locally you are around so much to do and lots of good food.
