5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Hands 🙌 Down an amazing experience the river rushing around the property. Nice pond to go fishing with your family mini grocery store Wi-Fi. If you need it even have sites that you can rent cabins that you can rent you can even pull your own Rig In. This experience for me and all of my family was amazing. We were doing the celebration of life for my uncle Jeff and this was one of his place. Is he like to come, so we gathered 50 deep and spent three nights celebrating his life this RV park is definitely something to check out.
It was somewhat of an accident that we ended up here (our original plans were foiled by wildfires east of Fresno), but I’m so happy that we found this place because our family fell in love. So much so that we added an additional night to our stay, and we certainly did not want to leave when we did. We Creekside is about 20 min west of Bishop, at 8500’ elevation, and nestled right next to the South Fork Bishop Creek. They have full hookup sites (30 amp), tent sites, and several rental trailers. There is a stocked fishing pond on the property where kiddos and adults alike can hone in their trout fishing skills. The owners are a young couple who grew up in the Sierras and are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Their golden retriever, Nelson, is the park’s mascot and the sweetest, gentlest dog I have ever met. The store is well stocked (they even had Children’s Tylenol when I was in a pinch!). Within a 20 min (or less) drive from the park you can enjoy the spoils of the eastern Sierra including (but not limited to): alpine lakes (South Lake, North Lake, Lake Sabrina), a multitude of hiking trails leading into the John Muir Wilderness that lead you to more alpine lakes, great fishing at all of the above mentioned lakes, and the beauty and great fishing of Bishop Creek. We also explored the Buttermilk OHV area and found some pretty neat views, creek crossings, and peace and quiet. I give this place 5 stars because the vibes were just….*chef’s kiss*. It’s not the most glamorous of campgrounds, but I think that’s what makes it great. Tip: if you have a large rig (trailer or motorhome), call and ask them which sites might fit you best. Also ask them which way is best to enter the park, because the main entrance can be a little tight for larger rigs.
Great spot to camp. There's about 5 tent spots, the owners are very nice and it's close to the lakes and great for fall foliage
We have been coming to this park for 30 years - such an amazingly beautiful place and the relatively new owners are top-notch. I highly recommend this place if you are able to snag a spot. The fishing is always incredible and so much fun. Tons to explore as well in the local area.
I did not stay at the campground, however, I shopped the store. It was great. So much cool stuff to buy and spend money on. But I had fun.
