Extremely good for calming your soul. Quit and peaceful leaves slightly changing so the peak of fall is in the air. Cool nights warmed by the sun in the mornings perfect for a cup of hot coffee and a walk with the dog. Nice views wooded between campsites. No loud noises at night a real feeling of being alone even tho your surrounded by others. A great place to take it all in and relax
First, the facts: We stayed in Loop C, site 44. They have 3 loops in total at this particular campground. Our site was a "double" and had two electric boxes, each with a 30 and 50 and two standard outlets. We also had two water supplies. We enjoyed the fire pit and two picnic tables. Our site was nice and flat, and the State Rangers drove through regularly. Firewood was available at the entrance for $7 a bundle and burned beautifully. Shower/bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Now, my opinions: I wish the grill on the fire pit wasn't rusted. It's great for cast iron skillet dinners but not for your kebobs. An actual on-site grill would be awesome! And, the picnic tables are in bad shape. The staff were friendly and informative, and the place is absolutely gorgeous! We usually go to Poplar Point, so I'm so glad that I tried a new part of Jordan Lake!
It's such a great spot to stay and relax. Unfortunately, tropical storm Debby forced the Park Service to close the campgrounds. I moved to a local campground with much more elevation, but then I returned to the Jordan Lake dam to watch the storm's arrival.
This was our third time tent camping and it was probably the best site we have stayed at. Clean lot, clean area and nice bath house. The view of the lake was beautiful and my child and my friends kids had such a great time. I would love to see a playground but other then that- very happy
We had a blast! This was my first time going camping since I was a child, 20 years ago! It was Memorial Day weekend so it was busy. Every campsite was booked. But it was still very peaceful ✌️ . No loud partying or dogs barking. We took our beagle pup and he had a great time sniffing around and going in and out of the tent every 2 minutes. He really enjoyed the view from the air mattress. I checked him really well as I bathed him when we got home and didn't find a single tick him. We will definitely be going again when it cools off
