Great park! Nice grass! And a great location close to town, maybe a 10 min drive. Limited 50amp spots, big rig friendly, nice grass, great spacing between sites. I wish they allowed camping Monday and Tuesday, as that is when Lava is the least crowded but they water those days and won’t take reservations those days. The little “swimming hole” is cute and fun to hang out at.

Outstanding staff! Very friendly and kind and super attentive. The grass was as plush as any I've ever walked on, let alone camped on. The portable toilets were spotless. The fire rings were excellent. The picnic tables were excellent. We had great shade. The river was very nice. Not really run-able in tubes because the water barely moves, but floatable and good swimming, and crystal clear. This entire camp site is immaculate!! If you're into cleanliness and well-run locations, like I am, this is your place.

Perfect spot for peace and tranquility. The camp areas are very clean and set out with ample space between you and others. Electric hookups are available in selected places , with other areas for tents. We were allocated Space #1 to the right of the entrance. It’s at a lower level than others so quite sheltered and gives you a sense of isolation. But having walked around the whole site we would be happy with any of the spaces. Access to the river is easy if you wanted to swim or just sit and take in your surroundings. We drove into Lava hot springs for a walk around. I can imagine this place gets very busy at the height of summer and the camping around the immediate area would be very crowded. Do yourself a favour, stay here instead and enjoy the peace.

Had a great experience last year so we came back and enjoyed our time even more! They made special adjustments to the watering schedule to fit my group in the nicer spots near the swimming hole. Perfect grass, nice trees, and gravel driveways make this place a uniquely pleasant and clean camping experience. Close enough to the fun of lava but away from the crowds for peaceful evenings. Kids, and adults love the swimming hole. Great time! Will definitely make this a tradition.

This RV campground is beautiful. We stayed here in Sept. of 2024. The grounds were immaculate. Grass at every spot with a picnic table and fire pit. The host is very friendly and helpful. Very close to Lava Hot Springs. We will be back.
