My family and I did an impromptu camping trip this weekend and we were not aware of this huge biking event in Lake Tahoe area and ALL of the campsites in the area were filled up. We were feeling defeated and just about to head home when we decided to turn into this last campground just to try our luck one more time. There was one spot left here where we could fit our pod and it was perfect!!!! The views are awesome with a beautiful mountain right in front of our hill and a very short walk to the river where a lot of people were trying their luck at fishing for the day. The scenery was amazing and the campground was one of the cleanest I've ever been to. I've resigned myself to the fact that I cannot handle Porta Potties and for some reason I decided to try these out. They smelled great, not just odorless but actually a nice smell in the room and extremely clean bathrooms, it was awesome!!! Nice rings for fire and secure bear boxes available. We saw the manager a couple of times and he was extremely nice, welcoming and helpful. Good spot, we'll be back for sure!!

Campground up Hwy88, still recovering from the Tamarack Fire 2021. Still close to Carson City for whatever it is that you might have forgotten. A safe place for families or friends to get away for a bit.

Unfortunately campground is next to large road with fast moving traffic and the vehicle noise echos off the canyon walls. Noise does reduce somewhat after dark but it makes for an unpleasant place to camp. Everything else was fine, but I won't be back.
